E-Z Steer

One of the most common modifications to the H26/260 is to link the rudder and engine together to improve the turn radius of the boat. The link rod most commonly mentioned is made by E-Z Steer. However, mine is made by Goldeneye products. Last time I checked it was listed on Amazon.com for $30. Search Google for "Goldeneye Auxiliary Motor Link Steering Connector". This mod is especially useful when backing and docking. It makes no difference if the engine is up or down, once installed, no further adjustment needed. As an alternative, many owners have constructed a connector using materials from their local hardware supply.
